Default Looks could be deceiving Live 200NL @ Commerce

Commerce 200NL Blinds 3/5

Only been at the table with for about an hour.

Reads (Button) Capable of laying down, yet passive with pairs, for example.

Earlier, He check/called on flop of J-X-X I bet.

(Hero): Bets $25

(BB): Calls $25

With your unconverted hand, poorly written post and this pompous attitude, I'd be surprised if anyone's gonna be nice to you.

Why would you over bet top pair on a K85 board? What's going to call you that you beat? You'r not worried about a flush draw here and there is only one straight draw that the players can have. Not to mention you make your hand totally transparent with this bet. It's letting everyone else at the table know you have a medium strength king and would like to take the pot down right now. A 13$ bet works just as good here. As played, on the turn, I'd check and evaluate.

P.S. Please convert your hands and lighten up.

Your flop bet sizing really sucks balls, leading for 10/15 makes this hand so much easier. That being said, I see no reason not to bet again, live small stakes players are almost never flat calling the flop with a better hand than KJ. Bet 50ish, reevaluate based on that.

And for those saying that no one calls with worse on the flop when you lead for 25, that's a big lol.

Seriously, you need to play with someone for a lot more than an hour or two before this type of bet becomes +EV. You probably had the best hand.

so far thank you for the replies,

ok,

My thought process was, either c/r (yet I'll be compelled to play a bigger pot than intended to)

or

Bet into it, which I did to force the opponents with a decision. obv fold to a raise.

okay..

Board: 5-8-K (rainbow
