The 3 is actually a good card for us. Do you think he calls with JJ preflop? If not, then I'd at least call a turn bet and fold to a river shove. But I don't know if that's great, since he might value-shove AJ on the river.

Why is everyone discounting AJ?

Yeah, nits don't typically a) call preflop here with AJ (maybe if it's suited), or b) go all ape-[censored] postflop with TPTK against a fellow nit.
