A split would be good.

It would also be good to clarify the non-FR NL/PL forums as "6-max" or "Short Handed" or "SH" or whatever.

I think it is less likely that no one is learning, so much as we frequently get new posters who don't have the time or patience to search through thousands of old posts about these kinds of topics.

So, at low stakes, those questions should be expected and accepted. Which is all the more reason for a split, so that the higher level might have fewer of those kinds of posts. And at the lower limit those kinds of posts might get decent answers repeated back to them rather than ignored or ridiculed.

As an example, right now, we are last in terms of people viewing ssnl, msnl, hsnl, unl, frnl. That fluctuates obviously, but we are certainly not the biggest.

This is most of the reason I'm so for this. The new guys looking for honest help are getting (maybe rightfully... sorta) ridiculed and it's just awful for the entire environment.

The 2p2 forums are a learning community for poker players to get better. A split will better allow the FR community to move forward w/ thier games, thus, meeting one of the goals of these forums. Traffic should not play a role in the split when comparing the existing FR forum to other forums. Especially since splitting this forum is a relativly easy process from an administrator standpoint.

So if the only argument against is that we don't have as much traffic as the other forum's mentioned, how do we compare to say the Books and Publications forum or the Golf forum or the Stox Poker forum or the Health and Fitness forum etc. etc?
