From newbodog.com.........

Welcome to the new (temporary) Bodog. As you may know by now, Bodog.com is experiencing a technical issue impacting our players' ability to access our website.

This is the result of a legal dispute over the ownership of the Bodog.com domain name. We are fighting this dispute. We are confident that we will win, but until all is settled, I do not want our battle to interrupt your play.

So, I present you with newbodog.com. You won't notice very many changes: same website, same brand, same product, and same service. Just a new domain name.

We are working to resolve any remaining issues on the temporary site as soon as possible, and fully expect to have our original site back up shortly.

I sincerely apologize if you were affected by our interruption and assure you that I will update you soon.

Regards,

Calvin Ayre

It is a real pleasure to read over some 11 pages of single-line junk posts just in hopes to get some real information. I just can't figure out why people have such an urge to post if they have no real information to share.

For people not afraid of regedit...
Rather than uninstall old Bodog (and presumably lose all my notes), I just edited my Windows registry to replace references to bodog to newbodog. The game play seems to work fine with these edits. The only "off" thing I see is that the adverts in the client don't load (they still point to the bad pages). Good enough for me.

Here's a pic of the two registry entries I modified:

Longtime poker player, first-time 2+2 user and poster. I apologize for taking up the space for those of you who are hardcore, but I had to say H5N1's reply was great. Took 2 seconds to edit the registries, I was on almost instantly, and assume it will not cause any problems with my notes (most important). I'd urge you all to do the same if you still can't get on.

Thanks for the help (and damn, 15 pages was a lot to read for nothing, should have just hit the last page)

I simply downloaded the client from the new site without uninstalling my old Bodog client. It just wrote over the old one and I'm good to go.

Any report on the traffic at newbodog.com? Is it pretty much empty, with a few regs?

Currently almost 1900 real money players, down maybe 10%-20% from normal at this time of day.
