My bet is this happens quite often, not only in this set of films but other "relationship/romance" films too.

Okay, I have to bump this thread for probably the most obvious thing ever.

Somehow, I just noticed this after watching this movie tonight (had to show it to a friend of mine...she enjoyed it...and was like "but we don't know if they meet in six months! Oh reeeeally?)

In Sunrise, she is the longing romantic and he is the cynic.
In Sunset, she is the cynic and he is the longing romantic.

I think I have always been aware on a subconscious level of this. However, somehow tonight was the first time that it really struck me how the two characters trade places in that regard during the decade passed.

I'm not sure it was bump worthy, but I was just wondering if everyone else was consciously aware of this fact or if I am slow on the uptake.
