Becoming a courier for cheap/free airline tickets
Becoming a courier for free/cheap flights
#13022680 - 11/18/07 11:41 PM Edit post Edit Reply to this post Reply Reply to this post Quote Quick Reply Quick Reply Does anyone have any experience with this? couriertravel.org/net flyfreeasacourier.com courier.org etc.. The basic idea is that someone needs a package hand delivered and they call you and give you a free or cheap ticket to do it. The downsides are that you can't always choose your city and you sometimes get only a one way ticket. Sites are charging money to give you information/sign you up. Do you have to sign up for one, if so, which is best? |

Sites are charging money to give you information/sign you up. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like a scam. Just do a search on Google and you'll find all of it for free. Here: http://www.macquil.com/articles/cheap-tickets.php |

you sometimes get only a one way ticket. [/ QUOTE ] this would seem to be a bit of a deal breaker to me. also, being a courier seems like a really obvious way to: a) get scammed and b) go to gaol for a whole variety of crimes |

Re: Becoming a courier for cheap/free airline tickets
I've been doing a bit of research on this and so far it seems like it is not as easy as it used to be. A combination of 9/11, information technology, and faster more reliable service from companies like FedEx has decreased the demand for air couriers. Also, I'm not so sure that those sites really are scams. A couple of articles name one that costs $39 and seems to make it sound credible. The only problem is the deals aren't very good even if you sign up.
http://travel.news.yahoo.com/b/rolf_...rolf_potts6042 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21691542/ This really sucks cause me and a buddy really want to go to Southeast Asia over winter break but the flight prices might be too much. So far the cheapest fares I've found are $1500. WTF? Am I not searching the right sites? I know there's a lot of 2p2'ers that live in/have gone to Thailand, how much did you guys pay? |
