Default AA Pukeaments?

Assume we have decent image and no reads on villain.

100NL 6max on PokerStars

Effective Stacks $100

Hero in the SB wakes up to A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG folds, Villain raises to $3.50 in the MP, 2 folds, Hero raises to $13, BB folds, Villain calls.

Flop (~$27): K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero???

Bet $15-20 and fold to a raise w/o reads - if villian calls flop, shove non-spade turn

I checked and he bet like 22 into 27, and I folded. Definitely puke-aments tho. Any reasons why people like bet/fold? I figured the frequency of him shoving over my bet was pretty high.

Because when you check to villian, he could be betting a ton of hands that we beat. sure he could push over the top with some hands that we beat and you'd have to fold but betting out gives us a chance to take the pot down

I don't understand check/fold vs villain.
Somewhere care to elaborate.

I think bet/folding is much better.
We take this down a decent amount I think, and against an unknown, we're ahead as well a fair amount of time even if he calls.

I'm not following why we'd play this so weak?

Are we assuming he hit a set/2 pair or are are we afraid of fighting a flush/straight draw?

Personally I'd bet the full pot, and consider folding to a raise, but I'd never check the flop. I'd rather define my hand as very strong, like AK or AA with a pot-sized bet, and get a real good read with his next play.

what does he call our big 3bet with pf that we beat that he can bet with besides AK with the A of spades and sometimes random suited connectors that could be bluffing.
