Default Playtech Software

I am curious if there has ever been speculation of playtechs blackjack being unfair. I seem to have horrible luck at playtech casinos. I completely understand variance could be the reason, however I can't help but have the "rigged" feeling at times. I have done GP 4x between myself and friends - busted 3 times, up $120 the other. Bet365 busted 3 of 4, up $200 the other. Lost eight stickies in a row....as a few examples. Nonetheless am far below EV after a decent amount of play.

Any input is great or tips on what to play.

I loved Playtech software before they shut out US players (though I got banned from most of the sites even before that happened). I felt that the BJ was a little streaky, but I tried to use that to my advantage, especially on stickies. They have a few versions of BJ, but if you can, try to play BJ surrender vs regular BJ. Some sites exclude BJ surrender from clearing WR's, and if so, just play the regular one. BJ surrender not only allows you to surrender, but the dealer checks his hole card to see if he has BJ before you act, so you can split without worry.

I'd chalk it up to variance for now. I got hot for awhile, then very cold and finally hot again before they shut me out. I finished up well over EV on Playtech BJ. I have run completely the opposite on RTG though and am way below EV at their casinos. It happens.

Just did BetFred... 100% to 100 pound bonus at 3000 WR. Played 5 x 2pounds/spot, and finished well below 100, then managed to get back up to even.
Therefore... R1GG3D!!11one!!

As an affiliate, I can often see gain/loss results of referred players.

So far over 2007, the average gain per referred player at Golden Palace was ~220. The expected gain is ~270 with optimal basic strategy.

For Bet 365, the average gain per referred player was ~105. The expected gain is ~175.

I do not have info for Bet Fred or Club on the Park.

I consider the above results reasonable, as a some referred players (usually from other forums) play for fun, rather than to maximize gain of the bonus.

According to my records, I've made about $17k in the past from Playtech (about 35 bonuses, mostly sticky), so I'm going to go out on a limb and say they aren't rigged. (The $17k was well above EV, although I can't really calculate how far above, as I'm not sure offhand what I was trying to sticky them up to.) The software is definitely fast, and often seems streaky (perhaps due to its speed).
