Default Recommend me some beer, plz

Hello.

I am a college student who has been used to drinking the cheapest beer available (Natty, Milwaukees Best, Pabst). I am now looking to step up the quality of my beer. I am looking for some recommendations.

Order of importance:
1. Tastes good. This one is obvious.
2. Mainstream beer. Something I can find at most beer outlets.
3. Mid-price range. Obviously price varies based on region of US, but looking for something nicer than the beers above, without being too expensive.
4. Doesn't fill you up too much. This isn't as important, but I don't want a beer that makes you feel really full after drinking a couple. This is being consumed for the purpose of getting drunk.
5. Status symbol. This is optional, but any beer that shows I am classy (without costing a ton) is a nice addition.

Haha, good point. Alright, cans aren't mandatory.

Nothing says classy like mainstream mid-priced beer in a can that doesn't fill you up too much for the purpose of getting drunk.
