he kinda halfway flailed at it but didn't really follow through / make contact. and unlike arod he was also in the process of diving headfirst into the bag so he was moving in that direction anyway.

fwiw, yes, i was also one of the yankee fans that said, it's ridiculous how hard the yankees are hitting the balls right at people. but we basically owned up to our team not coming through, which includes our ace and our offense.

you guys haven't lost yet, but i hope you own up to something in this series.

The main reason the Sox are losing this series is because our starters in the last 3 games couldn't get out of the 5th inning.

Ok?

Well, Wake could've, but Tito decided that an unlucky Wakefield who was throwing well was worse than going back to Delcarmen who's been throwing a ton and hasn't looked that sharp. But hey that's just me.

I'm not going to get on Tito for that. Whichever way he went, if it turned out bad he was going to be criticized.

Indians fans,

Do you have any idea how sick hot you are running in the luck department in this series?

[/ QUOTE ]

And if the shoe were on the other foot I am sure you would be offering all the wins back with a "really we didn't deserve that, we should be down in this series" on top?

PS. Giving up game killing 3 run HRs is not variance.

Odds of seeing the following lineup for Game 5?

Ellsbury
Youkilis
Ortiz
Ramirez
Lowell
Varitek
Pedroia
Kielty
Lugo

Pretty sure I would be unhappy with anything else.

Around this time in '04, I was screaming for Francona to bench Damon and Bellhorn, who were 0-for-October.

I'm glad he didn't listen to me.

If he stuck to his guns in '04, he'll certainly do it again this time.

Yeah, but lasering balls right at outfielders for 2 games is. So is getting no runs with the bases loaded and having Wake tip a sure double play ball.

No one had a good swing during that bases loaded situation and you know it. If Papi (or anyone else) hits the ball hard but in the same 20 foot zone as the fielders that is not bad luck, he needs to find a gap. Wake tried his best on that ball he thought he had the DP (his words). *Maybe* that qualifies.

Now Shoppach's dribbler down 3rd last night, that is some lucky stuff right there
