First time Alien Soldier has been playable in the US... Sega fanatics seem to believe it's a good game.

Of course it pales in comparison to SMB3.

Did anyone else see the rumor about No Mercy coming to the virtual console with updated rosters?

There is always Super Tecmo Bowl. They could do it for them and that would be absolutely amazing. Be strange to see them add teams though.

Is it that hard to give us one game per system per week? Why are they still on this 3 per week stuff?

I suspect there's some kind of strategic calculation on the part of Nintendo that involves releasing games 'slowly' so consumers buy games that might otherwise be considered 'second-tier' choices if they were to make their library available at a quicker pace.
