That usually depends on things like networks and privacy settings.

But I wasn't able to even see her in search or attempt to add her, which is another thing altogether.

I don't know her or anything about her. AFAICT, she isn't my type (I'm saying that without knowing much at all though). If I knew her better that might turn out to be untrue, but I don't know how I would end up getting to know her better. Therefore I don't see it happening.

I am still super-curious about what the story is behind this series of events -- I'd be just as curious if it was a random guy that this happened with.

I know nothing about facebook, but is it possible the options for "Block this guy" and "Add this guy" are close together and she just hit the wrong one the first time?
