Suicide (Latin sui caedere, to kill oneself) is the act of intentionally taking one's own life.

Whoisthedrizzle's post and the subsequent replies got me curious...how common is the contemplation of suicide? I know I've considered it before at various times, but could never "pull the trigger."

crossed my mind in kind of a "that would be the easy way out" when i was in debt, but obv wouldnt do it

No offense to anyone who answered "financial problems" but....really? I mean I can totally see offing yourself for one of the other reasons...but unless your financial problems were tantamount to legal problems, I can't imagine killing oneself over money or the lack thereof....

No I'm not a hippy/commie/socialist/etc... Just think thats a bit drastic...
