Nov 20 Party update and weird smiley icons

After todays update some people at my tables have these weird smileys next to their names. What do they mean?

Just as I posted I found out that it means those players have the No Chat feature enabled.

really? That seems so pointless. My first impression was that it represented a player that was on my buddy list...that'd be much better use of screen space.

EDIT: They've updated the wait list procedure as well

Yeah, and the icon sucks. I didn't see the ear protectors until after I knew what the icon indicated.

You can get rid of them fairly easily (see this post).

Hmm, a player could turn off the chat during a hand and therefore put a smiley up to imply that he liked the flop or to make other players wonder if that means he liked the flop. So it could be a way of publically chatting without typing anything. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
