Re: $12 180 man turbos
When it gets to 200/400 level and later, it becomes profitable to start widening your PFR range of hands, you can really accumulate a nice stack by raising position at this point and getting into some steal/resteal situations. As other posters said, getting crazy and playing anything but TAG in the beginning would likely be a mistake.

Re: $12 180 man turbos
flat...I've tried getting a little more aggressive but until it gets close to the money you will get called light so value plays are better...you just need to mae a decision on your hand vs ranges and go with it...reads kill me and make me at the mid stages...
As a general rule never fold AQ+ or 88+ unless you are sure cause people are not smart!!! |

Not sure if you've seen shaundeeb's guide to 180s:

Re: $12 180 man turbos
shaundeep's guide isn't for the 12/180 turbos.
these are relative new on poker-stars - the guide was written for the good old ones with a much slower blind-structure. |

Re: $12 180 man turbos
In my opinion the biggest adjustment in these tournaments is from 100/200 to 150/300/25.
Until 100/200 I play fairly tight to drastically increase my steals and pushes once you get to 150/300/25 and beyond. Don't be afraid to play huge pots with hands as AQ, AJ, TT because the average opponent is very bad. |

Don't be afraid to play hands you may normally classify as bad...even in multiway pots...raise and reraise does not mean what it does in a normal tourney and you will lose money trying to make heroic folds...these are mostly preflop type tournies and you will have to decide how strong you are against a wide range and also don't disregard pot odds...you need to have chips late and getting there short is a waste of time |
