Default NL 100 - How are my stats??

I just started using Poker Office.

.50/1 (9-player) @ Stars
My stats after ~1800 hands: 19% VPIP / 6% PFR / 3.0 AgrF
So far I'm +$600. (or 15 big blinds/100 hands)

I've been pretty selective at the tables I play at where VPIP is >27%.

Is my win-rate sustainable? I know the sample size is pretty small. Am I just running hot? Is my image TAG, Rock, etc.?

Your input or suggestions is appreciated! Thanks!

i'll field one of those - no, +1 buyin every 300 hands is not sustainable. with those kind of stats, expect probably at the very best 10-15% of that over a much larger sample.

I concur w/ c10der. Come back after 10K hands, and even those stats won't be an indication of future earnings.

How many total hands have you played at Stars? You state that you just started w/ PO, but no indication of Stars history. If new there too, it may be an indication of the Stars regulars giving you a wide berth until they "figure you out".

King Spew...

I'm a pokah noob.

Beginning in '07 on Stars, I have had leisurely played $5-$10 NL SNG's with a 17% ROI in over 250+ games played.

Also dabbling with micro-limit, I have +20K hands played in .10/.20 and .25/.50 while being +3bbs/100. (I've kept all my hand history files.)

Since June, I made the jump to NL and have played +15K hands of 25NL and have been +2.8bb/100.

So I guess it's a matter of time before the 100NL regulars start laying the gauntlet on me?? This also brings me to the question - Will Stars allow me to change my screenname? If so, how often?

You shouldnt need to change your screen name. Just dont play ABC poker and mix your game up.

Preflop - call less and raise more.

Play more hands

Kid... as suggested by others:

Don't know why Stars would allow a name change. I think it's a great way to negate the advantage of HUD pokerbots have, but I don't think easy name changes will happen in my lifetime LOL. Mix up your game JUST A LITTLE. ABC will still win a remarkable amount in the $2 game.

Don't call so much. 19% is OK for full ring, but IMHO it is a tad too loose. I'm guessing you limp from EP/MP with SCs and unmatchewd Broadways too much.

Raise more PF. My full ring "rule of thumb" is for PFR% to be around half of VP$IP. There are those on this board that think that half is too low,,, but it works well for me. I suspect it is the VP$IP<13% guys that want a higher percentage... and I agree with that, for those guys. (Also, the 12 tablers who have little time to think).

I just like to play more hands when the villains are bad enough that my implied odds are good for $1 entry. (Read that as: when a fish has entered the pot, I can open up my calling range)

King and others...Thanks!

The last paragraph def applies to me.

When only 2-tabling...
I find myself limping more often from MP/LP (with limpers ahead of me) with suited- Ax, connectors, and mid one-gappers. And also with small PP in EP. Not so much high cards.

I guess I'll need to play more than 2 tables or use more discpline. I tend to get bored when playing on only 2.

It seems very often that when I raise that the bad villians will call me down with middle pair when I keep firing bullets (about 3/4 pot-size) when I don't hit my hand.

...so you let your play get a bit too loose. Common problem.

(1) Play more tables.

(2) Play higher stakes...but not high where you are playing w/ scared money. Just high enough to get your interest.

All very sound advice you've given bro! Much appreciated!!

In the meantime, I'll stick with 100NL til I reach 10K hands and then re-evaluate. I'm gonna start 4-tabling which will hopefully help me maintain my focus.
