Default 6.5$ JJ 3rd level Push or Fold

No reads on villains, and I usually play cash games so this could be a really dumb question

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) internettexasholdem.com

BB (t2845)
UTG (t1390)
Hero (t1355)
MP1 (t1480)
MP2 (t1870)
CO (t1440)
Button (t1765)
SB (t1355)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls t50, Hero raises to t170, 4 folds, SB raises to t290, BB calls t240, UTG folds, Hero ???

I push, but i'm also a cash player first, and trying to get used to these things.

But we are less than 28BB's deep. I think pushing JJ seems obvious.

FWIW I would not push this against a re-raise and call playing my 11 and 22 games. I'm seeing both players calling a push and I don't want to go 3-way with JJ at this stage. I may just call this and push the flop if I have an overpair.

NB: But this could be a bad line, I don't like this spot and I'm not confident. I'm interested how other SNGers play this.

It's an 825 pot and it's a call of 120 with JJ to close the betting.
You consider folding this? or am I taking you too literally?

I would just call and evaluate the flop.

Hero calls and closes the action. If you dont flop a set or an overpair, abandon ship. Tough decision without reads in early level, but at least pf call is easy given pot odds.

[/ QUOTE ]actually, I missed the overcall. I call this against good players trying to hit a set. I check to them and then push over when I get it as the pot is large and they'll have a hard time folding. Against weak players, I'm still pushing over.
