They have a replacement value of $10k but that doesn't mean they are worth $10k. I doubt there's a big black market in child-sized prosthetic legs.

they did have the dale jr. logo on them so maybe some redneck might want to throw it up on the trailer wall.

Some chick's legs got stolen I think it was in the OC sometime last year. I believe generous community members raised enough money for her to buy new legs... but they got stolen again.

Maybe the thieves were going to turn them into leg lamps as a sign of respect for the guy that directed "A Christmas Story" (he passed away yesterday).
