Default SSNL [cheese] thread: JAN Pt. 2 (nc)

Please don't clutter the forum by starting crappy threads. Feel free to fill this thread with all the stuff that you want to share with the SSNL community.

For example, stuff like this:

--FT is a ROCK GARDEN!!!1!!
--graphs/stats
--stucko/robusto/rostucko
--bad beats, silly hands
--does anyone still play at Party?
--here's my stats over 300 hands, move up?
--haiku/poetry/weather
--best players at NL100 Stars?
--non-strat questions that aren't worthy of their own thread
--TV/Movies/Japan
--junk
--crap
--misc.

Also, no flaming. And please don't circumvent the profanity filters by creative means. And don't break the cheese thread by posting oversized images!

Enjoy!

Jay, you seem to have good sense in actual hand posts, but sometimes it seems like you don't have a grasp on why people win money playing poker in general.

[/ QUOTE ]

People win money in small stakes games because they have the best hand most of the time when the money goes in....

Playing like a maniac is not particularly profitable imo at 100-200nl. Yes, you get payed off more, but you also lose a shedload of small pots which the big pots cannot make up for.

i run anywhere between 24-18 and 29-22 depending on how im running, game conditions, etc. i switch gears pretty often which throws ppl off, and im much better at hand reading than most of my opponents. i have a 'weird' postflop game, in that i do a lot of calling, i pretend to give up in a lot of pots with medium strength hands, etc. if i posted many of the hands i play i would get flamed, and its hard to convince someone 'i knew what he had'. i do play much tighter postflop than you would assume by looking at my pf numbers, my AF is somewhere around 2.5.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is exactly what I'm getting at, though I did think you were crazier pf for some reason.

well its a catch 22 because i would run a lot laggier in nittier games but i have good game selection and avoid the kind of games where i would run 35-27.

but more importantly than that i have good SEAT selection. ppl miss this, and its enormous. a great game can become a horrible one if you have the wrong seat.
