NL100: Another JJ hand Kicks My Ass
Villain is 24/10/3 over a small sample size.
Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 9 Players LegoPoker Hand History Converter Hero (BB): $155.10 UTG: $127.85 UTG+1: $188.10 UTG+2: $27 MP1: $97.50 MP2: $102 CO: $103.15 BTN: $96 SB: $37.90 Pre-Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB) 2 folds, UTG+2 calls $1, 2 folds, CO calls $1, BTN folds, SB calls $0.50, Hero raises to $8, UTG+2 folds, CO calls $7, SB folds Flop: ($18) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, CO checks Is checking horrible here? I figured it would look suspicious to villain and would allow me to represent an A later in the hand. An Ace is calling and a worse hand is folding. I figured if a Q or K comes on the turn then my turn auto bet would show more strength. Turn: ($18) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $15, CO calls $15 Villain's turn call sucks and now I am suspicious of him. River: ($48) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, CO bets $30, Hero folds I see no reason to call this. Results: $48 Pot ($2.35 Rake) CO mucked and WON $45.65 (+$22.65 NET) |

I think betting the flop is a good way to come out. If he calls I'm pretty sure you can consider yourself beat.

Re: NL100: Another JJ hand Kicks My Ass
I like your flop check. Turn is good too.
But when you bet the turn then check the river. That looks weak, man. If you value bet the river, you'll put a tough decision to an opponent NOT holding an ace. And an Ax will raise you, so you can fold easily. But, yeah, you're right. That turn call is fishy. |
