Re: KQo from SB. What did I do wrong? What did I do right?
[ QUOTE ]
Chesspain, I like a bet-call on this river. I think letting the river check through is a disaster. [/ QUOTE ] It's a litle early in the day for such drama. [ QUOTE ] We'll get raised often enough by one card straights that I definitely want call a raise, and in fact often enough that I think it significantly mitigtates the added risk of paying two bets on the river. [/ QUOTE ] Are you putting the CO on Q9 when he raised the turn? In addition, there is no guarantee that MP is going to both call and then overcall on the river, so you can't assume you will have this overly for the times you put two bets in with a losing hand. |

Re: KQo from SB. What did I do wrong? What did I do right?
I just think there are too many things CO would have that aren't flushes that he won't bet on the river, including:
97 Two pair A Set A pair + A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9x If he has a Q, he'll probably bet, but he also might raise, so we do a little better on average in those situations by betting than checking. |

Post flop I like. I bet that river all day.
Preflop, with this hand, I'd just limp. Raising isn't bad, or good really, but I'd limp most of the time. On the river, you have to bet, don't let them check through their two pair or set or Q high straight might raise. |
