A lot of of the deals I'm seeing around for the holidays are bundles for the 360 hardrive, gears of war, premium console, wireless controller + headset for $399.00. I'm guessing you'd get maybe 2-300 dollars for it. The main game everyone wants right now is Gears of War and I'm sure they'd rather pay 399+ tax for a brand new one instead of paying for a used one. I'm guessing the best time you can try get rid of it would be after Christmas.

some of the deals sites (forums.anandtech.com, fatwallet.com, etc.) have trading forums that are pretty active.

they have similar rating systems to the ebay seller quality, and usually the less established person (you) sends first.

it's probably no easier than doing it on ebay though.
