Default Interesting article, any thoughts?

This guy recommends mini-cycles (2 weeks) of bulking followed by two weeks of restricted caloric intake. He maintains you can gain 2:1 muscle to fat in the bulking, and loose 2:1 fat to muscle in the cutting phase. I think typical phases are much longer than this, so his program won't really have that much absolute impact on weigh. He
says lift often and heavy during bulking, do mainly cardio and intermediate-intensity, maintenance strength training on the cutting.

Bill Phillips... I'm refusing to read it and will instead oppose it on principle.

can you tell me why; i've never heard of the guy before what's up? It seems like there's a lot of scientific jargon and I have no idea if it's legit or not.

Two weeks to long/short for bulking/cutting?

I skimmed it. Bill Phillips is BFL guy. Looks like essential propaganda. I mean carry the idea to the extreme. Wouldn't alternating days be better? Like eat 4k cals and lift heavy one day and then the next eat 1k and run all day. Insta-hugeness.

I think the cycling is just a bad idea.

It is. But it typically includes tapers. This doesn't and is way to short. Like my "cycles" are typically measured in months.

body for life. Probably one of the biggest things to improve the bodies of average Americans.

Not all cycling, just that author's version.

Also, it read more like an advertisement than a true article.

It does read like an advertisement for the guy's book, but he gives a lot of science to backup 2week cycles. I have no idea if it's good science or jargon, b/c i'm not a scientist. So you guys say he's just a hack, there's no reason to read any of his stuff?

I wouldn't bother with that crap. This guy is just trying to make some money. Stick with the tried and true methods.
