kind of thought this may be the reaction. I just don't really like to deal with people who don't show anyone else around them a little respect. In my experience, these people don't respond to being polite because they lack politeness in the first place.

Serious response because I was a little mean last time:

You really need to see a shrink for your social anxiety disorder. The fact that the thought of talking to people who were so inconsiderate as to light fireworks on the fourth of july *gasp* makes you quiver, means that this can't be the first time that your social anxiety has affected your life.

You need to get help now.

Clearly, the only sensible option is to walk over and pistol whip him Henry Hill style.

You need to get more fireworks and fire them back at them. Obv you need to get larger and more dangerous fireworks. Might I suggest the largest shell on the market?

The ad says that it is 2 ounces of high explosives. That should convey your intended message.

Unfortunately, they are located a long drive away, however, you should stop in the nearby indian casinos. Good luck and make sure to post a trip report.

This exact same situation happened to me. Same 6 car neighbors. I just cleaned it up. It took about 5 mins.

so yesterday i was reading the local sunday newspaper, and one of my favorite parts is the 'letters to the editor' section they have...

i read this 6 paragraph rant from a woman about this same thing...her neighbors shot off fireworks, and her yard 'is just a mess'. she kept saying how rude it all was, and that it was ridiculous that she was 'going to have to spend an entire day cleaning it all up'...

at the very end, she noted that she posted all of the pictures that she took of 'the mess' on the newspaper's website, sort've like a community section where anyone can post pictures from the area...

http://cu.tribune-chronicle.com/page...gallery=299639

the gallery is entitled 'july 5th'...and i challenge anyone to find ANY PIECE OF FIREWORK that is more than a 1/2" big.

once you look at the pictures, you'll see how ridiculously nitty this woman is...

edit: after looking at them again, i'm just shaking my head. i wish i could find the letter she wrote in, making it seem like her backyard had been bombed or something...i actually have to squint to see the little pieces of leftovers...

NIT!

choose your words carefully to the neighbors OP, or you'll have to spend an ENTIRE DAY cleaning up 'this huge mess'every single year!!!

I voted into the neighbours yard, but don't do it passive aggressive style, go over and knock on their door, and ask them if they want to come and get all the rubbish out of your garden or if they want you to put it in their garden. Then you might not have to do all the picking up.
