the only problem i've had repeatedly in firefox is that it sometimes doesn't open when i initially click the link - fails to connect after launching the player. then i have to click over to a different game on the tab, then back to the one i want. this often happens with archived games. and sometimes archived games just plain old won't play.

[/ QUOTE ]

[censored] that sounds annoying. I haven't persisted with firefox, but maybe I'll try it again.

Please post here if you figure it out. I have tried with Firefox in Vista, but doesn't work. The screen is just black (with no plug-in errors). Other Flash video works with FF and Vista though. I haven't tried FF/Linux yet, so maybe that will work. Are you using Vista or XP?

Perspective.

If you live in Europe like me then it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. I have the added bonus of no blackouts.

No problem with Firefox for me.

I have the cheapo 400k version. In Firefox, everytime I click the 400k game it tells me I need to upgrade to 700k which results in lots of swearing. No wonder I tilt so much with this issue plus the Dick's commercial.

I also hate the Dick's commercial. I also hated the RiteGuard commercial, but not nearly as much as this one because they're so obnoxious and loud. Also the Dick's is 30 seconds, while the RiteGuard was 15 seconds.

I've had zero probs with Firefox.

explorer has occasionally shut-down on me but it's not a big deal.

I still really really dig it.
The commercials suck though.

And sometimes (depending on my log-on IP or something I guess) I get blacked-out of NYM and NYY games which is just weird since I'm in Memphis, Tenn.

I wrote to them and asked why they were blacking-out these games for me when I'm nowhere near NY. They responded like 6 days later, "Sorry. We have to black-out these games in your market" or some standard, idiot reply.

I've had some day games way out of my market blacked out. I think the contract calls for games before a certain time to be blacked out on Wednesdays and Saturdays when they have national broadcasts even if those games aren't on TV. Completely dumb, but whatever.

I figured the games were blacked out due to some agreement they had with Fox. I am in San Diego, and if pretty much any team from the Central time zone or west of that is one of the games of the week, that is the one I will get on Fox. Unfortunately, if BOS is another one of their games of the week (even if it is on 3 hours earlier), I won't be able to see it on Fox, MLB.tv or via Cox On-Demand. I am guessing this has to do with Fox having the right to the game.

OTOH, if the game is on espn, like bos vs nyy on monday, I could also watch the game on mlb.tv and cox on demand baseball package (on YES for mondays game). So, maybe ESPN is less restrictive than FOX is???

People, download VLC media player and get this firefox plugin. This has enhanced my mlb.tv viewing experience quite a bit.
