Hey Knight Vision, any updates?

[/ QUOTE ]

We are at 37 weeks. Wife is getting uncomfortable, which she believes to be nature's way to motivate the woman to push the babe out. We thought she would be early, but doc said yesterday she suspects 39-40 weeks. So, we wait.

We realized yesterday that we haven't even considered a boy's name, I guess we should just in case.

I've been hesitant to post in this thread until the baby comes, because I have many somber thoughts lately. From OOT to my company to local area, there has been a lot of tragedy surrounding birth and young children. I've discussed things with my wife, but I'm kinda just keeping things internal for now.

I'm not religious, though I do believe in a common Spirit. I just need to say: Spirit bless my unborn baby. Spirit bless my wife. Spirit bless my family. Spirit bless, protect and care for all families, all children.

I think I'll probably breakdown emotionally when our baby comes, maybe not, but as I said I'm holding a lot in. At this time of year we think of things to be Thankful for. This year will be intense in that regard.

My wife talks about "white lighting" people. I am white lighting a lot of folks lately, and though they don't know it, I believe they can feel it or will someday.

I'll update again if I get the chance. Certainly after our baby comes.

I think we have settled on a name. For some reason I feel sunlight and yellow and brightness (maybe the white light) surrounding this child. And for some reason the name Lyla makes me feel all those things. So, I am pretty sure she'll be Lyla.

Joining Jayna and Kellen.

People talk about the tragedies for lots of reasons...a lot of women like to share their "horror" stories. I see it a lot, its like they are saying " I survived this...what about you?"

Honestly, for the handful of tragedies there are many more miracles and mostly people have babies every day and all goes smoothly.

Worry and concern are normal when you are coming down to the wire, so keep those positive thoughts....do what you have to do.

Good luck to you, your wife and Lyla.

Thanks for the thoughts and the wish for good luck. I honestly don't worry about Lyla or my wife. More, I feel an incredible sorrow and empathy for those stricken by tragedy.

We're all sending positive vibes and prayers your way, KV.

It was a very nervous time for me as well, but I always tried to focus on the fact that the vast majority of births are successful and complication-free.

Good luck.
