At 5.50 I would get all in on the flop w/ tptk, gutterball and backdoor nut draw. Vs bottom 2 you aren't in the worst shape... 60-40 dog. Idiots at this level in early hands can easily have ace rags and other hands you're ahead of. As played w/ so much invested in flop, turn is a mandatory call.

For me AK has to be one of the hardest hands to play! It's a love hate thing.

Only thing I would do different is raise more pre flop to 120 or 150 perhaps.

I have lost AK so often because people call. It's a REAL good drawing hand so I'm not real excited to have more then one person in the hand (if any) at this spot in a tournament.

AQ is a lot worse Never lost so much chips/money with another hand.

AQ is OK - I can easily fold AQ pre flop but AK - MAN it looks good on paper but some guy pushes and you are sitting there with AK and a silly grin on your face.

I just shove this on the flop. My normal raise pre is to 100, 90 just looks weak in L1 for some reason

[edit - 3-bet shove obviously]

I would've raised at least 4bb pre-flop. On the flop you've bet too much and built too big pot with top pair and top kicker and put yourself in a position to lose all your chips. On the flop, only hands you could win against was KQ and AJ, JJ,KK and maybe Ace rag. And on the turn one of those ace rags were ahead of you again. And i think these are longshots because of that raise. Big raise pre-flop and smaller bet on the flop would make you lose less chips and at least you'd have stayed in the tournament.

And yes. You overplayed AK.

Btw looking at your hand and flop and considering the loose play of small stakes it's hard to do the things i say. Looks like you were doomed to lose all your chips on that hand. Lol

Put too much money in on the flop? No way. If I hit TPTK with AK, I'm getting it all in if I can. Way too many donks think any ace is good on that flop not to.
