wasn't trying to like mess with ya badger, just thought it didnt need to be locked. We dont have a huge problem with nonsense threads, dont think we have to be nitty about locking up gossipy ones.

edit: i don't necesaarily agree this is news worthy, or even post worthy, just locking it kinda bugged me. sorry

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't just insta lock it, FWIW. I DBed annette real quick and saw absolutely nothing post worthy. Had she FTed two of the big buyins with a win I would have left it. If scott had put any content in his post about what she had done I might have left it.

Putting that title and then "Discuss" is why it was locked.

just makgin it clear, id ont want to see a ton of these posts, i just think if posts suck, they wont get replies and it'll sink down the bottom. If threads get a bunch of trolly replies, and flame war starts over something stupid, or if the OP is just like blatantly stupid then thats when threads need to get locked/deleted.

[X] pics plz

from what i hear, she runs like a kenyan in every tourney

[/ QUOTE ]

her ITM %age is about the same as most online pros. the difference seems to be the # of tournys she plays and the depth of finish when she does make it. seems her 'running good' kicks in after she makes the money compared to many (plus she just plays so well)

yes, if you db her stats you'll see the $ won and ROI numbers. very impressive. she was the #1 ranked player at P5 for a time, and is currently in the top 10. of course many here may dismiss the P5 rankings, but meh.

plus she's a nice person and more than helpful with posting hand histories, etc..

which is why i locked that one. didn't want to open the door to letting posts like that get made.

i don't want to see a ton of them being made and clogging up the forum. also, it seems like many threads get bumped for some ridiculous comment that really doesn't need to be made instead of just letting the thread die, which is a reason why i lock some of them when they need to just die.

Yes, fairly standard. FWIW, while I've seen scott around enough not to know he's not a noob who makes posts like that all the time. It was the way the post was made with absolutely no background info.

Its not like people just completely dismiss them, but people accept that their rankings sort of portray volume rather than skill

isn't high volume w/good ITM% and massive winnings skill?

i have low to medium volume, negative ROI and crappy ITM%. i think it's pretty safe to assume my skill level sucks. if i cashed consistently and made $, i'd have to assume that my skill level is at least 'adequate', no?
