Default Nuts W/Action Stick It In Deep?

Villain in this hand is ok. Definitely aggressive, likes to get in and mix it up as do I. The two of us are definitely the most active and aggressive players at the table and have been sort of running it over for a bit.

We've had a few encounters, the last one being about three orbits ago when I raised utg with 9d8d and flopped a flush. I bet, he raised, I rr and that was that. Anyhow, .....on to the hand:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero ($783.50)
MP2 ($273.35)
MP3 ($416.10)
CO ($399.60)
Button ($920.45)
SB ($317.30)
BB ($283.80)
UTG ($306.30)
UTG+1 ($193.20)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J, T.
i]1 fold[/i]</font>, UTG+1 raises to $8</font>, Hero calls $8, 3 folds</font>, Button calls $8, SB calls $6, 1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($36) 8, 5, 7 (4 players)</font>
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($36) 9 (4 players)</font>
SB bets $24</font>, UTG+1 folds, Hero raises to $72</font>, Button raises to $160</font>, SB folds, Hero?

I'm thinking his most likely range for that raise is something like a 6, possibly a set or two pair, maybe some crazy backdoor combo draw, a little bit of air but not much... What's the best plan here?

If he sucks and will call with any 6, try to get the money in now. If he's decent though he should fold a six to a 4th raise, in which case I like calling and c/r the river AI. This line also wins the most out of bluffs as well, which I think is a fairly large part of his range at this point. i also wouldn't be suprised if he showed down the same hand as you.

It's close between call and check river, or reraising here. Given your read he probably goes all-in on river if checked too. He probably has something like 10 7.

Yeah, that was the plan, when I looked at the hand later I just felt like there had to be a better line against anyone not brain dead. I mean, I'm sort of turning my hand face up when I toss in that fourth bet.

Why not push? A spade, a ten, or a paired board will give you fits on the river. If he is drawing to a flush or hoping to fill up, make him pay. From your description, he'll likely call and your money went in with a big lead. If he folds, it's still a decent pot.

I also like to stick it in now. No point and making a hard river decision for yourself.

He's probably not 3-betting this board with a set, methinks.

He MAY have something like As6s though.

I say reraise, but nothing crazy, then bet/push safe rivers. And the only unsafe rivers in my mind are spades.

Pushing obviously isnt too bad, but he should be able to get away from a 6 if you push.

Whaaaaat?! Button is like NEVER bluffing here.

I would just shove. If the board pairs, the flush hits, etc, you really can't be too comfortable. Players down here will call with 6x often, especially with a flush draw thinking they are freerolling.
