Re: NFL Pro-bowl plan
You could probably also count on the two losing championship teams not wanting to play in the PB also. I know if I just got done playing 18 or 19 out of 21 weeks, I wouldn't be so quick to play in a pickup game for fun.
So that could be the top 4 teams with few if any representation at the game. |

As long as they have the rest of the pro bowl week festivities I'm for it. Random skills competitions >> pro bowl game.

[ QUOTE ] I can't believe this many people give a rat's ass about the Pro Bowl. I've never watched one, and can't imagine any enhancement that would tempt me to do so. [/ QUOTE ] You missed out on Peyton Manning calling Vanderjagt a liquored up idiot kicker? That moment was a turning point in Peyton Manning's career. [/ QUOTE ] You could argue is was more of a turning point in Vanderjagt's career. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah there was talk last year of just getting rid of the game and expanding the skills competition. I'd like this the best. You'd really get to see what the players can do because it wouldn't be dangerous, you could have the Super Bowl players participate, and it would be totally different than "just another game that no one cares about." Sure, it would still be worthless, but at least it would be some sort of spectacle. Although now I think about the NHL skills competition and the NBA 3 point/dunk/3 on 3 competitions and wonder if this would work. |
