Aren't there 64 players in this tournament? How can everybody but two players be at 60:1 or better?

[/ QUOTE ]

The bookmakers have to make money somewhere, right?

I'm actually surprised that the favorite is just 23:1. Not that I think anyone in the tournament has better than a 1/24 chance to win, but I figured the vig on the favorite would be higher. It does look like they have finally figured out that no one if a huge favorite in any match.

yeah seems weird david grouped with a bunch of celebs at 50 - 1.

He has a much better resume than alot of the players at 40 - 1.

I really don't see how they can make odds before the brackets are put up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why not? The odds might change after the brackets are created, but it is certainly possible to generate odds before the brackets are created.

[/ QUOTE ]

The odds almost certainly will change after the brackets are created.

You can bet on who wins next year's Super Bowl. But, nobody ever asks how the lines can be created without knowing which teams make the playoffs.

Sixty-four entered, and only a small handful are listed at odds longer than 50:1. What a joke. The line adds to 165%. Now that's some vigorish!
