talking hand

we have a player who allways talk abouth his hand. for instance he sais: "i have qt" at the moment when dealer deal him cards. so everyone knows his two cards, because he never lies. these is bad for poker. is there any rule abouth talking hand?

In cash game it's not good etiquette to talk about the hand whatsoever. A call to the floor could fix this.

In tournament, it's against the rules period to disclose the contents of you hand at any time.

but it is his hand, and he is still in the hand. how can floor stop him talking hand?i need an argument, to explain to a player why he can:t talk about his hand while he is still in the hand.

his disclosing his hand effects other players. If he discloses he has QT then a player who flops a draw neeeding a Queen or Ten knows he has less outs, with this knowledge he may fold a hand where he would have paid off another player.

Or suppose after announcing he has QT he folds. Now on the river the board is A7T5T. A player who might have bet a bluff representing a T can no longer do so.

Now if he waits until the hand is heads up the only player who can be negatively affected is himself so that is alright, except in a tournament where his conduct actually impacts every player in the tournament.

In a cash game, players not involved in the hand have no interest in that hand.

In a tournament, players not involved in the hand--heck, players at other tables--are affected by who wins that pot. Helping the players in that hand adversely affects players not in the pot.

Most anybody who would announce the contents of his hand won't understand why it's a bad idea. If he's barely on the zeroth level, how is he going to understand how his actions are affecting others?

Im confused why this is a bad thing overall.

Sure his actions influence the hand - but he is either donating to anyone who isnt deaf or he is just sitting there for a session playing nothing and blinding down.

All the negatives are balanced out by the positives imo.
