The thing here, if you raise, you could get 3-bet, at which point you'd probably have to muck.
The issue, is that donk/3-betting is pretty common here with as little as a flush draw, and we may be ahead, or we may have outs vs an ace high FD, etc. If we had AK, or any unpaired hand that had a better chance of being ahead of a flush draw, than I'd be a bit more likely to raise. Instead of giving him a chance to 3-bet me out of this pot, I'm ok with a peel. I probably do tend to take a raise/fold approach to this spot too much though, in reality. |
