How was the game(s) at the Taj?

yea man I was watching this game while I was playing 1/2NL at the Borg and it looked so soft I considered playing in it. This game is +++++EV. Its full of regs during the week tho, but they are all pretty soft it seems

Taj 5/10 O8 game is usually good. This past Saturday was pretty decent.

I'll make it over to the Borg one of these days, but there were 3 5/10 O8 games filled with donaters and its really hard to pry myself away from that right now.

Trip report from your 2-way gig on Sat would be nice!

I am specifically interested in the TAJ 2 way game.
The structure is 15/30/45 Stud 8/O8.

Does anyone have any information concerning the game and the regular players in the game - especially any information on the strong players?

I mostly play in the TAJ 2way game (15/30/45 Stud 8/Omaha 8), but I only play about two times a month, mostly on weekdays.

Regulars are Doc, Robin, Ron, Dave, Jack, Gerry, Carlos, Alberto, Gene, JJ, Kathy, Reggie, Jules, Brian, Ricky, and two Sandy's. I think Robin and Dave have given me the most trouble. Robin and Carlos are both pretty aggressive. Robin's dad was a famous bridge player, Norman Kay. Chris Reslock shows up from time to time.

Gloria and Eleanor are great for the game, but aren't there enough. Irv was a real live one, but got himself booted from all casinos. I used to be a pretty regular winner in this game last year when these three were in the game a lot.

It is a very friendly game, and most people like each other, except for Ricky.

Pretty good assessment fortunately for us NL players Doc has been playing 2-5 and 5-10 recently. We even talked Gloria into sitting 5-10 long enough to dump a buyin. They must be getting a little short on donaters. WTF did Irv do?

Apparently Irv had a very bad day and signed the paperwork to get himself banned from all casinos in AC. I am not sure if this was a bad day at table poker or on the casino floor. I haven't seen his friend, Kenny, since Irv banned himself.

I forgot to mention Jacob, who is good at putting the whole table on tilt, but isn't a regular. Also, Lucy, who is LAG.

By my count, you are the 12th poster here that plays at the Taj. I haven't figured out the B&M identity of any of you. It should be pretty easy to figure out who I am from my posts. There are a lot of fairly solid players in the 15/30/45 game. I would not say the same about the 5/10 game. Easy money, but not as interesting. No actual poker takes place in that game.

Kenny was sitting in the 5/10 O8 game with me 3 weeks ago. He was having a very bad session. I saw him this past Sat in the 15/30/45 game. But you are right, I used to see him attched to the hip with Irv in the 2-way.

Speaking of Irv, his self imposed ban on playing in AC has reverberated all the way up the Jersey Coast to where I live in West End Beach where it was discussed en masse on the 5:33p NJCL train out of Penn Station. Small world.

Irv was a regular in both the Taj 2-way and the Borg 2-way. A really nice guy too.
