FR NL10: Set against flush board
Hi,
how is this hand to be played? I have seen so many flushes completely slowplayed, I really think it is way more likely he had only the flush-ace/king, not a flush, before the river card fell. I also thought he wouldnīt give it up, so I thought my big bets had a potential reward even though I saw the risk. Wasnīt sure after he made that turn bet though, but didnīt really know how to react. Any comments? Thank you. Re: FR NL10: Set against flush board
I usually try to keep the pot smaller hoping to fill up cheap on the flop.
As played, raise more on the turn once the villain has made the 2nd small donk bet. River looks standard. |

Re: FR NL10: Set against flush board
Anyone shove the turn? Or is this a case where too many hands we'll make money off of will fold, I'm thinking like AA,QQ,KJ,AK,AJ,KQ? The only reason I say this is that those weak bets look like villain is trying to set the price for his draw (block) and a good sized raise does nothing but commit us to call that river anyway since villains stack is not full and pot is getting big(or is that a good thing?).

Re: FR NL10: Set against flush board
If you dont believe him, you have to raise the turn to at leat 4 or 5. You gave him AWESOME odds if he was still drawing.

[/ QUOTE ] Shoving the turn makes him play correct. Make the raise one he shouldnt call, but you think he will. We want his flush draw to call but for the wrong price. Plus, shoving is terrible when you are way behind, and you will be here sometimes. |
