Why do we have to assume the public is pushing the line to -7.5?
IIRC, the line moved Monday morning nad most "sharp" comes in early.

Maybe my feelings are playing a part, as I really do want to be able to bet SD in a wong.

The line moved back down to -7 on wednesday afternoon despite the majority of the action being on SD. Also, IMO the line probably wont move back up to -7.5 unless it does so just before kickoff which I think is doubtful...cutter is on the vikes, as well as various sharp bettors here and elsewhere who will probably not cause the line to move from 7 to 6.5 in the international market, but they should at least keep it stagnant. Also, bodog still has SD at -7.5 if you just MUST wong...

If you're going to tease this game, why would you seek out a 7.5 so you can tease it down to -1.5? You can find abundant 7s, so why give up the half-point? Congrats on your -1.5 "Wong" when you could've had -1.

These bets are very simple and straightfoward, why is there so much difficulty??

Greek/Linesmaker showing SD -7 (-105) so looks like closer to -6.5.

Still best teaser game of wk if u ask me.

I think you're right. I guess my point was that if wongs are meant to beat sharp lines then this doesn't appear to be a sharp line since it's moving based on action and not on proper handicapping. However, that is based on my perception which may not correlate with some one else's or even be correct.

LogistX what do you think is used to sharpen a line?

Hint...the answer is in bold.

Do you believe that large amounts of square action sharpens a line? I don't. Unless by sharpen, you don't mean get closer to the "true" line.

No, I don't. Now, mind telling me how you know who's betting into the line? Sharps, squares, some combination, what?

The truth is you don't know. And neither do I. Or anyone else for that matter although many of us have opinions on it. But the books know and are adjusting the line based on that knowledge. So who are we to believe?
{ } You, who think the opening line was correct.
{x} The books, who have info you don't.

Sigh. I'm not trying to make a point that the books are wrong. This is going nowhere...
