Default First Post

Been a long time lurker, this is my first post. Hope to be a valuable member of the forum. I don't have to Bodog hand ripper program yet for PT, so no stats. Hand is 1/2 FR.

UTG (161.50) limps in.

UTG+1 (200) raises to $7.50. This was his first hand and he posted so no reads.

Folded to me in CO, I cover the table. I raise A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] to $18

Folded back to UTG+1 who calls.

Flop ($42) 236 rainbow.

Villain checks, I cbet $25.
Villain now min-raises to $50.

What range can I put villain on? I am contemplating pushing and am wondering if this is a profitable play. The min-raise just feels fishy to me.

3-bet PF is way too small. So 3-bet more PF. 26+ looks good. He's not going to raise/fold a pair on the board, so I probably just fold....

3bet alot bigger PF, to at least 24. i would c/f the flop, his range is an overpair mostly

if you bet, then it is an easy fold.

full ring also has its own forum, which you should check out.

welcome to the community

Thanks for the welcome and the advice. Yes, I should be raising to a larger amount preflop. In the hand, I thought for a min. and decided he was full of crap or had a medium pp that would fold and pushed. Glad I checked because it worked and I was having some very results oriented thinking that it was a good play.

don't try to get unknowns to fold overpairs because they don't. if he folded you likely had him beat. also, welcome.

ok, raise more pre. The cbet should be a little bigger, like 32 or something, and vs an unkown player I fold to a raise.
