why didn't the dealer give him change from his turn bet? he said he had an oversized chip in the pot from the turn so just said "bet" without putting chips in the pot. is this standard?

I always get change from the dealer before the hand progresses, not like I ask for it either, the pot is just supposed to be 'right' at the end of each betting round, no?

Yeah, a bit of due diligence, and ZJ could have saved some misunderstanding, whether real or intentional.

It's not like ZJ hasn't tried to take advantage of other people lack of due diligence in the past, ( not about the scandal, but a situation where a player accidentally raised when he meant to call and ZJ went allin on him). A big part of poker, especially live, is making it harder for people to exploit you in any way.

From what I know (which may not be much), you bet with an oversize chip, saying "bet" and the dealer will not bother making change until there is a call. This eliminates time wasted because if there is no call, you're getting the chip back along with the whole pot. This is standard practice by good dealers who don't want to waste time making change if noone is calling your bet. Once it's called, THEN change is made.

Am I the only one who finds it incredible this kid expects a sympathetic audience when he whines about being hustled at the felt?

Another thing I'm really tired of are these ignorant tards (in this case in the Full Contact Forum) who keep trying to polish Justin's image with repeated banalities to the effect of "he came clean and admitted his wrong, it's time to forgive him". No he didn't come clean he was caught, no he didn't admit his wrong without qualifying the mea culpa, no it's not time to forget about his fraud.

I hate living in a society where the average person is so gullible and indifferent to reason that a guy like ZeeJustin would even conceive of soliciting sympathy from some of the very same people he would still be defrauding if he hadn't been outed.

You one dimensional immediate gratification monkeys so gung ho about "forgiveness" should Google "Michael Milken" sometime. Maybe then you'll understand why even minimally informed people are so disgusted by you. More than likely you won't however.

Wow. Moran. Ban.

Obv, the chip was still in there from the previous street, or the chip would HAVE to be a bet.

he updated his blog

I’ve got a lot to write about btw, including the best poker story ever – “Nobody calls Earl a chicken”, being a Team Bodog Member, being angleshot by Robert Williamson , Johny Kranyak and the bridge kids, and a bunch more… but I need my sleep now)
