Rakerebate website down?

Haven't been able to get onto the website for a couple of days, keep getting an error message, anyone else having this problem?

Works fine for me. Try clearing your browser cookies. What exactly is the error?

Didn't seem to work..error is:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/oddsen/rakerebate.net/html/db.php on line 7

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/oddsen/rakerebate.net/html/db.php on line 8
Unable to select database!

That is a server problem and happens when all available connections are taken on the MySQL server due to traffic, or the query coding is written poorly.

You should let them know ASAP to make sure they increase the amount of connections available to the database, which can be found in the mysql config file. Or they can look through their code to make sure they close all their mysql connections when finishing with queries.

We are aware of the problem. The problem is a bot-network launching 1000+ visits to the site at the same time, and our server have problems filtering the false connections out properly. However, this does not last for more than a few minutes every time - although it happens quite a few times a day.

The good news however is that we are replacing the server tomorrow and moving to a different ISP.
