I'm trying to improve at razz. Should i have even been in this hand, obviously i hit great cards as the hand developed. when hes showing A35 should i be exiting the hand or do i have alright odds to win it?

You will get better results with your HHs around here if you use the hand converter - see the pinned thread at top of Stud section.

Raise 3rd. Eh, just raise 'em all.

I often just call 3rd in a spot like this, where no one can raise behind me, if I think my opponent will play incorrectly on 4th if he bricks (and not fold). I'd probably raise 4th. I doubt I'd raise 5th. I'd usually raise 6th but just calling isn't bad.

You don't know what your opponent had here, but he mucked in the end which to me says he had no chance of winning the hand, he probably paired early and then the 3 paired. The way you played it, he put in a bet on every street, probably way behind, and that's awesome. You raise 4th, the hand is probably all over. But that's results oriented...

In the general sense raising 4th is good because he has an auto bet here, but is FOS something like 40% of the time. You on the other hand have a clean 4 card 7 with none of your outs missing except the 3 that can to your opponent on 4th. I think raising 5th can be a mistake because you'll get 3-bet nearly all the times your behind, he'll fold his worst hands (where he would fire again on 6th if you don't raise) and you're facing reverse implied odds on future streets - you have a hand you can't fold and he either has a hand he can't fold, or a hand he can't call a raise with.

6th I feel can go either way. It's a classic WA/WB situation except I think you're ahead much more often than behind. I like just calling here and raising 7th. I also like raising here. Whatever floats your boat.

Edit: I misread 6th, you actually act first. Yeah, the way the hand was played so far a check raise would be nice.

Probably check-raise sixth, but it looks fine overall. The other guy could well have raised light on third street. I'd consider raising fourth, but I tend to err on the side of caution when I'm getting a little short in a tournament.

Thanks for converting for me. My major problem on this hand was calling on fifth street since I could be way behind unless he has paired up. I'm likely to only have a 765 low and with him showing A35 already its only marginal, right?

As I recall the chance that he has paired by 5th st if he started with a legitimate 3 card hand is about 50%. The times he has not paired, he'll have an 8 some times, and the rest of the times he'll have a 7, often a better one than you. If he has a better 7, you're in bad shape, about a 3:1 dog and you'll be calling 3 bets to win 7. However, even if you give him credit for having started with a 3-card 8 or better, you're 50/50 on 5th st. If you give him credit for a 3-card 6, you're a 60:40 dog against his range. I don't think you have to give him credit for better than a 3 card 8 though, because he's only betting into 2 7s and an 8.

He has an auto-bet on 4th (and I think it's correct for him to bet there, even if he's paired). On 5th... A lot of players are going to auto-bet there but I think it's closer to wrong to do so unless you have either a made hand of some description, or a hell of a draw.
