a couple days ago at 2/4NL. effective stacks are $500, and I cover villian. Never played with villian before. he has been playing a TAG style, but tighter and nittier than most. Haven't seen him get out of line in the hour or so he's at table

My image is actually not too bad. The only times I've shown a ton of aggression and had to show down, I've had the goods, so he shouldn't think I'm a maniac

Anyway..

Villian raises pot $14 in CO, everyone folds to me, I just call.

I am having a tough time figuring out the best course of action to getting the chips in. Maybe it's b/c im used to playing against aggro mofo's and i don't ever have to hand read with a hand like this, and i can just play it fast and hope to get paid off.

But looking at the hand after the fact, I am pretty sure a 3bet on the turn here is pretty bad, but possible i am wrong.

I like a call and a checkraise all in on the river. I definitely expect him to bet again with a flush, KK,AQ,KQ,A8 or any 8,etc if the river card is a blank (which we are hoping).

The only problem with my line is the action killing river cards obviously but I think it might be worth the risk.

Stacks are pretty nice for a checkraise all in here (if we expect him to fire like $150ish on the river)

1. his range will be more heavily weighted towards overs+NFDs that he'll raise flop with;

2. you're deep-stacked so it's more important to get money in on flop.

3. CR lets him get away cheap.

donk the flop if its part of your game and what you try to accomplish at the table and if you have a good balance of doing it with air/draws/weak made hands/strong made hands, and only if he knows this.

donking flop advice is worthy of its own theory post, cmon.

why would you do it with any 2? if you think hes going to fold alot, surely call check river is better
