I'd raise flop and shut down if called. I've seen people doing this with 22-88 on this board since they think you have overcards and missed the flop. Most of the time they fold when you raise here. Either way, make a note. It'll come in handy later on.

i'd raise the flop and then shut down if called, probably calling a small river bet

calling the flop is fine, calling the turn is hugely read dependent. I can go either way on it. I probably call once though (on the turn i mean) to try and see a showdown and figure out what he's doing this with

As everyone stated, raise the flop. Villain led really weak, there aren't many draws on flop. He probably has a crappy straight draw, something like 66, or A2, maybe even two overs.

Your line is weak. He's double barreling that turn a lot, because you are folding a lot given flat call on flop.

we're raising for value here, but how much of his range is gonig to continue? i can't exactly put him on naked overcards (which would give us a reason to raise for protection).

i think a pretty strong argument could be made for calling flop/raising turn, or calling both streets, but i'd like to hear some more advocates for raising.
