i would just lead the flop. why do you want to be so fancy when we are OOP against an unknown with a decent but vulnerable hand? he'll either find a reason to call or he won't, but he can't call unless you bet.

[/ QUOTE ]
He can't call if I don't bet, but he also can't bluff if I bet. All hands with two cards between 3 and A, and that are a lot of hands, can't really call a flop bet. When the pot is this small (just 1BB) gaining a single small bet from a hand that would have folded to a bet otherwise is a huge win and since the pot is so small and there aren't even overcards possible on the turn giving a free card is absolutly no problem.

vulnerable hand

Vurnerable? If I'm ahead a huge part of his range is drawing to:

1. runner runner two pair/trips
2. another part of his range has 2 outs (small pp's)
3. another part of his range has 4 outs (gutshot)
4. some part has 5 outs (pair)
5. and a really small part of his range is drawing to 7 outs (pair + gutshot).

I even have a (gutshot)redraw against the wheel.

I don't understand why you respond with 'lol?' It looks pretty obvious to me that it's a dry board.

hielko, there's a straight draw on the flop and a flush draw on the turn. the guy posted so he could have anything. this board is scarier than an actual dry board like q72 rainbow.

also i sometimes lead this flop and sometimes checkcall and sometimes checkraise. it's a common spot and a good time to vary and mix up your play.

why didn't you raise preflop?

you didn't give us any reads, so I see no reason to get screwy with tpwk. just lead the flop. since you didn't, why no c/r?

this hand is kind of weird.

BBB: on the flop the only straight draw is a gutshot straightdraw and there is no flushdraw.

Didn't notice that the limper was in fact a poster.

Because you will lose a huge amount of value versus worse hands and bluffs.

Dont pick on Heilko.

He was trying to induce his opponent into trying to take him off the best hand.

I dont really like the play though, because it involves giving too many free cards.

Its risky and has no guarantee of working.
