Re: Winrates of different players at differnt tables
[ QUOTE ]
#2- Your win-rate shouldn't be effected too much. If you are losing money on every hand, you are going to lose it whether another good or bad player is in the hand. [/ QUOTE ] But I'm pretty sure that the win-rate (loss-rate would be a better word) would decrease even more when the other fish leaves the table: he is probably providing some dead money in the pot when the other fish is chasing some weird draws. The reason that I added this question is that I see the game at the local casino changing. The average skill level is increasing and I was wondering how big the impact would be on the remaining big fishes. Will a -5BB/100 loser stay a (approx.) -5BB/100 loser or could he start losing money so fast that the game is no longer fun. |

Re: Winrates of different players at differnt tables
1. I wonder this also, was actually thinking about it the other day, I always hear it's just best to avoid pots with the other winners in the game, it's like a collusion truce unspoken, you can both run over the donks and try to stay out of hands or play soft vs. each other. Yet on the other hand, the more competitive players (myslef included) love when they got involved in pots w/each other and go balls to the wall. The latter is more fun imo lol. more money to be made off fish if you avoid each other though..
3. Having position on this player is super +EV, esp. if he is stealing blinds, bluffing alot, etc.. |
