I think that if it was the CO bet/3betting, I would call. But with the SB checking and 3-betting, it's the limit version of a NL check-raise all-in. There's no way two pair could be good here.

especially when you factor in the tilt equity of him showing some jank while scooping the pot . . .

[/ QUOTE ]
I think the stronger tilt potential comes from not being able to see whether you made the right play and having it hang over you all session. Villain handed miles a gift in that sense.

2+2 pseudocode for river play:

If your chance to win the pot is less than 1/(pot size + 1), check the pot size
If pot size is greater than 20 bets, call anyway

How can you say it "can't" be the right play? I'm good maybe 1% of the time. You're all poker cavemen living in the big pot stone age.

[/ QUOTE ]

Possible. But we invented fire in the big pot stoneage, so don't knock it. Seriously, if villain didn't show, this pot would haunt me...

I don't understand the first bit - seems horribly inefficent for a multi-tabler.

I sometimes fold stuff like this and always hate it.

So I played this hand today against complete unknowns. All I thought about on the river was how often I was completely crushed. I almost timed out, and I ended up making the call purely for the sake of you guys. You know, just so you know I have it in me to do no hand reading whatsoever, too. I would have folded this river if I had not created this thread. So, I thank you. Please feel free to transfer some cash to Stars account YSSCKY for making me play worse than I did before making and reading this thread.

Before hand text: Can't be bothered to read

Preflop: Standard

Flop: Standard
Turn: Standard
River: Time to sigh and call. Folding AA and worse here is exploitable. You can only do it with the intention of exploiting someone's unbalanced river raising range (not enough bluffs/weaker hands).
