Default JJ hits set and it\'s cap-tastic. When do we back off?

Playing $0.50/$1, as I usually do

No real reads on either villain. I do have stats, though. CO is 30/7/2.00 and BB is 18/11/2.16.

I'm dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in HJ. I open-raise. CO 3bets. BB caps. We both call.

Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I'm certainly not unhappy about that! BB bets. I raise. CO 3bets. BB caps. I happily call and CO does too.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB checks. I bet. CO raises. BB cold calls. I 3bet. CO caps. BB bails.

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

At this point, I'm worried since he's capped all streets and the K or Q could mean he has a bigger set. I check. He bets. I call.

Thoughts are appreciated!

my first instinct is to bet the river and call if raised.

however,it can't be a huge difference (putting in one or two bets less or more) either way; against semi-sane villains kk and qq come into play and at is slightly possible as well

No reads but someone is real unlucky here...you...or there is dead money in this pot you have to keep the pedal to the medal here. I wouldn't worry about the Queens too much.

BB checks the turn to cold call later? oi what a maroon.

Look bottom line you got feed extra bets here from BB. It's a win big/lose big scenario here.

River Call is not out of line considering the situation, think only 3 hands beat you likely.

A10 is not really an option considering how he played it.

what BBB said. I think a river c/c is fine. hopefully he is overplaying AA, AK, KQ or KJ. fwiw Hero was in HJ when he openraises so it is possible this guy is clued in enough to 3 bet light preflop.

I like it. I wouldn't be worried about A10 in this situation because of the manner it was played throughout the hand, set over set is a possibility, but you can't be worried about that to much. Hopefully he just overplayed AK, KQ, or KJ even.

Does river play change if BB stays in?

I mean, should we cap the river again, because BB is putting dead money?

I ran on stove and assigned the hand range for Villian to be: JJ+,AQs+,AQo+

HERO: 83.3%
Villian: 16.7%

I tightened Villian's hand range to JJ+,AKs,AKo, and the equity is as follows:
HERO: 75%
Villian: 25%

You're putting in so little at the river in a monster pot, with such high pot equity. I think a call is good. Maybe even b/c would be good.

would really help you include how many players are at the table ...
open raising from the HJ isn't that same as open raising UTG and many aggressive players overplay medium strength hands

Villain can't have JJ.

c/c looks good.
