protein water

My GF doesn't eat meat, and her diet as a whole is pretty crappy. She gets very little protein, which I constantly nag her about. Well she saw a commercial for protein water and has decided this is a great thing.

Kinda seems like advertising gimmick to me, but I thought I would ask the knowledgeable people here. Waste of money? Or will it help? Anyone have any opinions?
