Bankroll building question
what do you think would show a better profit....
Playing a level UP very tag or nitty or playing a level down and playing a lag style? Like if you were aggro at 1-2nl how would your results be vs being tag at 2-4nl? just something i was pondering. |

Re: Bankroll building question
Assuming you are competent, TAG at 2/4.

Re: Bankroll building question
I don't mean to say aggro at 1/2 would work better if you weren't competent

Re: Bankroll building question
It's best to play the style you are most comfortable with at the level you are most comfortable with.

It's best to play the style you are most comfortable with at the level you are most comfortable with. [/ QUOTE ] And it's best to play the style that exploits your opponents' weaknesses the most efficient way. You shouldn't think "I'll raise T8 suited because I'm LAG", you should think "In this particular situation, against these particular opponents raising is better than calling or folding, therefore I raise". If you choose your playing style before you even know who you are playing against you aren't maximizing your expectation or playing good poker, you are just playing like a robot. |

Re: Bankroll building question
Is it OK to play 0.5/1 Fixed Limit Hold'Em with a $70 bankroll if:
I'm feeling very comfortable at the tables and have a lot of self confidence. I'm sure I can beat it. I'm having some major downsings to my roll because I'm sometimes out of the mood or something and generally play crappy. Today I realized that I need to focus on playing as well as possible and I should forget thinking about money (and generally playing for money). My game improved a lot thanks to that thought giving me even more confidence. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes it is ok if you are a recreational player and losing the 70 bucks doesn't hurt your. Assuming you have a job you can always deposit more if you go busto. |
