I would fold the turn for hand 1. Pot is too small.

Hand 2: Tempting to 3-bet the flop, but despite your combo draw you're slightly behind to a set. If 3-betting gave me a clearer picture of opponent's holdings I'd be tempted, but I guess he might not cap with JJ/44 so I guess I like your line better.
