Default 1/2 hand

1/2 hand

UTG limps, next guy 59/14 over 380 hands makes it 9, I call with 7c 5c 9s 6h. Button calls and SB calls. BB shoves for $55 or whatever he has. Original raises calls. Stacks are 100bb between us.

My plan?

Call. If someone behind you shoves, welcome to variance.

I think original raiser repops with aces majority of the time which means your rundown may be less attractive

Original raiser called, he did not repop. The case for folding preflop is that on flush draw flops hero's straight draw outs will be compromised.

Chucky,

I think Crushin Felt is sayin that if the original raiser had AAxx here he would repop BB's rr. Since original raiser elects to call, maybe he has a rundown like 789tss or 89tQss, in which case you're crushed. If you're hand was a rundown w/out the gap on the high end, like 3567ss or if it was 5679ds, I would feel more comfortable getting 25% of my stack in the middle pre-flop with 2 people left behind me to act.

Good point. Original raiser could also have KKxx, QQxx with sidecards, but yes one gapper is a trapping hand here. I was originally leaning towards folding preflop, but I worried that it was a nitty fold.

I do not expect original raiser to turn up with KKxx here. That's a horrible hand to have when he knows he is against AA. Plus he will reraise KKxx preflop against you for the sidepot if he is going to call in that spot.

I call, I don't think folding is a big mistake either.

I certainly don't rule out KKxx type hands for the raiser. People play bad and this is a spot where people make mistakes all the time.
